Affordability, sustainability, luxury, and a good location are important factors within the unique concept of citizenM Hotels. By using self-service check-in counters, the guests can easily check in and out within 60 seconds. Every guest room in the hotel is equipped with a MoodPad, which allows the guests to control the television, air-conditioning, and curtains. This Moodpad also makes it easy to control the lighting with endless possibilities like brightness and color. Each citizenM hotel has its own 'living rooms' to create an atmosphere in which guests can feel like they are at home.
citizenM Copenhagen Radhuspladsen is the first citizenM hotel in Scandinavia. It offers a view over the Radhuspladsen (town hall square) and is located close to Copenhagen's central station. The hotel has 7 floors, 238 guest rooms, and 4 meeting rooms. The front of house areas, which includes the rooftop bar, ‘living rooms’, bakery and canteenM, are located on the top floor. The meeting rooms are part of the so-called societyM area, which offers a great space where guests can work undisturbedly.
In order to offer their guests the same experience anywhere in the world, standardization of all hotels is of great importance. TDE-Lighttech has helped citizenM Copenhagen Radhuspladsen to create an atmosphere similar to that of all citizenM hotels in different parts of the world.
Apart from the decorative lighting, TDE-Lighttech supplied all lighting for the guest rooms and front of house areas. Among others single color and multi-color (RGB & tunable white) LED modules, LED strips, LED downlights and spotlights were the most used products for this project. The lighting in the front of house areas is controlled by Pharos Architectural Controls, which makes it possible to monitor, control and update the lighting externally. For controlling the lighting in the guest rooms TDE-Lighttech produced the 24VDC 16-channel LED Drivers. TDE-Lighttech also produced the RFID card readers, which are used for the guest rooms access control system.
For the completion of the project, TDE-Lighttech was on site to program all light settings according to the wishes of the end user. This is very important in order to guarantee the quality and standardization of LED lighting.
By using their knowledge, experience and the wide range of products and solutions, TDE-Lighttech was well capable to help citizenM Hotels creating another beautiful hotel. TDE-Lighttech can proudly look back on a successful project.
