The hotel chain citizenM has once again opened a beautifully located hotel, in the old city center of Zurich, at just a 10-minute walk from the main train station. It is the first citizenM hotel in Switzerland and is located in an old office building. Since the 1950s, the building has had different purposes in terms of retail and office space. The hotel has 160 rooms, 2 living rooms and 5 meeting rooms. The hotel has a self-service check-in counter and a canteenM with a bar and bakery.
The experience that citizenM is offering its guests is practically the same all over the world. Guests can experience a sense of "coming home" all over the world. The large beds, good showers, mood pads with accompanying entertainment and the lighting play an important role in this. The high standard that citizenM guarantees is therefore crucial and TDE lighttech is happy that it can contribute to this.
TDE-lighttech is familiar with the atmosphere and experience citizenM wants to offer its guests. To offer guests a sense of "coming home", the lighting must have a certain standard. TDE-lighttech knows how important mood-setting and therefore the lighting is in a hotel. For example, we have again provided the lighting and lighting control system for the public spaces and the lighting for the guest rooms. Single and multi-color (RGB & tunable white) LED modules, LED strips and LED down and spotlights were used for this project. The lighting in the public areas is controlled by Pharos Architectural Controls, because of this the lighting can be externally monitored, controlled and updated. The lighting in the guest rooms is controlled by the 24VDC 16-channel LED driver from TDE-lighttech. In addition, TDE-lighttech has produced the RFID card reader for access control to the rooms.
While citizenM can be proud of the pace at which they manage to realize hotels at the most fantastic locations, TDE-lighttech is extremely proud to be able to provide these hotels with lighting. This hotel has also become very beautiful and with our help, hotel guests can really feel at home.
